Hi, world! I’m back here with another post about my review of Star Wars The Last Jedi. My last post on movie reviews was fun to right and in my opinion, my best post. So here is my review. Enjoy! (BTW if you didn’t watch the movie there are going to be some spoilers here.)
Star Wars The Last Jedi… This movie was fine but I am leaning towards the bad side. I am a big Star Wars fan and I was really excited for episode 8. I went to see the movie on opening night, so everyone was excited. When the movie started I was so excited for the first big thing until I found out what it was.
The rebel’s ship blows up and Princess Leia flies out into space. I was thinking this is good so far because one of the main characters just died and that is kind of a big thing. Then she flies back using the force and stays alive. I was thinking, “Leia doesn’t use the force and has no force training and then she suddenly survives the cold, airless space!” The creators did not follow the Star Wars storyline and just totally changed the story. This was just the beginning and I was already disappointed.
When Ray asks Luke Skywalker for Jedi training he refuses and nothing was wrong about that, but when I found out that Luke tried to kill Kylo Ren I was really confused. The Great Luke Skywalker tries to kill one of his students, I was quite confused. I know that Luke sensed evil in Kylo Ren but he is his nephew and a young padawan who just needs a good teacher to become a good Jedi. Luke is a good Jedi so he should be a good Jedi Teacher right?! No! He senses bad stuff and he just attempts to kill his own student. The whole Empire thing wouldn’t have happened if Yoda didn’t train Anakin. But Kylo Ren is a totally different person and can change.
The one thing that I did not enjoy was the ending. Luke Skywalker “dies” because he used too much of the Force. He goes to the rebel base with a Force projection of himself and almost saves everybody until he just floats and “dies”. The great Luke Skywalker dies because of the force which he is a “master” at. This part was probably the most disappointing part.
This movie was a good film but not a good “Star Wars” film. There is a whole bunch of other stuff that I can talk about, like how most of the movie was filler and much more. The producers did not continue the Star Wars lore, so Episode 9 is the movie that decides everything and in my prediction when Luke Skywalker comes back. The audience did not like the movie but all the critics did according to Rotten Tomatoes.
Hope you enjoyed and comment down below, What movie do you want me to review next?
